New Year's Day Rituals

Today is one of my favorite holidays. There’s something magical about the stillness in the air—like life itself is taking a deep, slow breath. It’s the perfect time to soak in the hope and excitement of the unknown adventures waiting for us in 2025.

I have a few cherished rituals that help me welcome the year with open arms:

Fresh start feels: I put crisp, clean sheets on the bed. There’s nothing cozier than sliding into fresh sheets—feels like a hug from the universe to kick off the year.

Refresh the space: I open all the windows and doors to let cool air circulate through the house. Out with the old, in with the fresh and fabulous!

Brunch indulgence: This morning, I whipped up a killer egg and veggie burrito. It was so good it basically high-fived my taste buds.

Nature vibes: A long, leisurely walk helps me reconnect with my own inner nature. Today, I spotted magnolia buds—proof that nature never rushes. If it doesn’t, why should I?

Mindful Moment: Taking a quiet pause helps me stay present and curious as I set the tone for the year. Join me below for a guided 10 min ish practice I hosted earlier today on Instagram.

Candle + intentions: I lit a candle and reflected on my 2025 power intention. (Can’t wait to share more about this soon—stay tuned!)

Mindful Movement: Pilates for the win! Gotta love that mix of strength and stretch.

Spread the love: I send some heartfelt New Year wishes to loved ones. (Isn’t it nice to start the year with connection?)

Black-eyed pea soup finale: Wrapping up the day with a cozy bowl of soup before bedtime. This ritual is influenced by my husband's Texas roots. Tradition and comfort, all in one.
